To put it a little more technically
We code using CSS and XHTML, and we code to strict W3C web standards ». We don’t use tables or frames to control layout. Our websites load quickly, and are compatible with different browsers – not everyone uses IE on a PC. What’s more, because we use the very latest web standard code, you won’t need to have your website recoded as new browsers are released – a nightmare that some companies have to face.
Increased accessibility
Clean, semantic code increases accessibility so that screen readers and reading devices find it much easier to read your site content. Increased accessibility to disabled users has been the law in the UK since 1995, and some larger organisations have landed themselves in hot water for not having accessible websites.
What else do we do?
We also use other programming languages where necessary and appropriate, including PHP, JavaScript, and XML. PHP is what we use to make content management systems and to develop large galleries of images. We prefer to use Open Source products where possible to avoid passing on the cost of license fees associated with proprietary systems.
